The

Story

This play takes place in the three seconds between 10:05 am & 10:08 am on September 11th, 2001.  A man has found himself in an impossible situation.  The most significant people in his life appear, leading him down a path of discovery, some of them with lessons of their own to learn, as we travel down this path of love, loss, forgiveness, & the beyond.

It started as a fascination with urban legend and almosts, i.e. an artist who loses their sight.

Everything ends.

The fascinating aspect of the human condition, the timer, are you prepared to let go? That fight, that grudge, that pain, that pride?

On his 40th birthday Jonathan is forced to answer.

Production   Information & History

I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of performing and visual art. This play in particular has been created to feel like installation art starting and ending in a white room. Minimal set pieces are required as the story will be told with projections on each wall and old filament light bulbs over the audience and stage serving as stars. The thirteen actor ensemble cast varies greatly in age and will be ethnically diverse. The storytelling is equally reliant on text, music, visuals, and movement.

There have been two Actors Equity approved Staged Readings of ‘the end’ the first in 2017 and second in 2020 both with The Workshop Theater Company in New York City.
